Hello everybody, this is my page about my attempts at learning Korean. I've studied a short course on Korean, Watched Korean TV and learnt a bit of Korean from my girlfriend and her family. Recently I have been following the KBS learn Korean series on YouTube. The aim of this page is to agregate the resources I have come across and provide some simple study material.
I have created a playlist on YouTube of these Learn Korean videos for your convienience. I will also be documenting the words and sentances covered in each session for easy reference. At the moment I view two sessions a day because it is mostly revision for me. I suggest you find your own pace an try to stick to one session per day or one session per two days depending on what you have time to do.
Below is a Korean word of the day gadget. Be sure back to check back every day for updates.

KBS Lesson Summary
Lesson 1 - Saying hello
This introductionary teaches us how to say hello in Korean as well as teaching us a few names of people, the letter "ㅏ" and a few other words for baby, tree and bridge. For those of you who are not familiar with Hangeul (The Korean alphabet) I have transliterated these phrases. Note that we also learnt some names of the people in the video. The first two names were Korean names, Korean names usually have 3 blocks to them, the First block is usually the family name and the second and third form the first name. The last name here is a Korean approximation of an English name.
| Korean word | Meaning | Transliteration |
| 안녕하세요 | Hello | An-yeong-ha-se-yo |
| ____입니다 | I am ___ | ___ Im-ni-da |
| 김민운, 이수지, 마이클찬 | Names of the people | Im-Min-uk, I-Su-ji, Ma-i-keul-Chan (Michael Chan) |
| 아기 | Baby | A-gi |
| 나무 | Tree | Na-mu |
| 다리 | Bridge | Da-ri |
That's all for now, check back soon for updates.
